Calibro are pleased to have been appointed on behalf of Legal & General to support the delivery of their permitted retail park development at the site of the former NMC factory at Blaina Road, Brynmawr.
The permitted scheme comprises a 43,000sq.ft. retail park incorporating food and non-food retail uses, together with a cafe and McDonald’s drive-thru restaurant. The proposals also include the construction of new vehicular access onto Blaina Road, with off-site public realm improvements provided to enhance linkage between the site and nearby town centre.
Working with JLL’s Cardiff planning team, Calibro’s full suite of services have been engaged and include the following:
- Transport Planning Services – traffic calculations and highway capacity modelling to identify suitable mitigation of an off-site junction;
- Infrastructure Services – Section 278 designs, design of private foul and storm water systems including hydraulic calculations, car park design and identification of optimum Finished Floor Levels, and provision of Full Infrastructure Engineering package for Tender & Construction.
