Leave a mark this summer

Leave a mark this summer

A small step, with a bigger idea

This summer, we wanted to do something a little different. Not another email. Not another piece of content. Just something simple, human… and hopefully a bit fun. So, we’ve sent out 200 pairs of Calibro flip flops to people we love working with.

They might look like your standard holiday essential, but they’re designed to do one extra thing. When you walk on sand or soft ground, they leave a small imprint:n#1StepBrighter

It’s a simple idea, but one that says a lot about how we think as a business – the belief that small actions, done well, can create a positive impact.

Where will they end up?

We’ve asked recipients to take them on holiday, wherever that might be. A beach in Devon. A coastal path in Wales. A stretch of sand by the Med, or even somewhere more tropical. We want people to leave a footprint, take a photo, then share on Linked In and tag us where they are in the world. From Bristol to… wherever summer takes them.

Across everything we do, we come back to a simple idea: ‘Great places put people first’. That means thinking beyond technical compliance and looking at how developments function day‑to‑day, how they’re accessed, how water is managed, how movement works, and how all of that supports communities over the long term.

Turning footsteps into something meaningful

For every post shared, we’ll make a donation to Caring in Bristol.

No judging. No competition. Just a collective effort to turn a few simple moments into something that gives back. Because for us, this isn’t about the flip flops. It’s about the people behind them, and the places they go.

Follow the journey

Over the coming weeks throughout the summer holiday period, we’ll be sharing the footprints as they come in – where they’ve travelled, and the stories behind them.

There’s something quite nice about the idea of all of these individual moments connecting into one bigger picture. A shared footprint, in lots of different places.

So if a pair has landed with you…

Take them somewhere interesting.
Leave your mark.
Tag us on Linked In so we can follow along and make a donation to CiB.
